On June 22, 2024 the Haddam Historical Society will host “Beyond the Garden Gate” from 10 am to 4 pm. Tour six beautiful historic homes in Haddam and Higganum each with a special outdoor space and fascinating history.  

Included are the Smith Clark House, Irving Valentine Dickinson House and James Walkley Farm. Also featured is a sweet historic cape once the home to a cooper and a stunning property on the Connecticut River. Tour headquarters is at the Thankful Arnold House Museum which contains one of Connecticut's Historic Gardens featuring over 50 variety of herbs used for dyeing , cooking, and medicine.
