Cell Block Tales: Tour the Jail and Meet the Prisoners
Saturday, September 26, 2026 -12 noon, 1 pm, 2 pm and 3 pm
Sunday, September 27, 2026- 12 noon, 1 pm, 2 pm and 3 pm

The Haddam Historical Society, in collaboration with local theater group Blue Fire Stage Company, will host a tour of the historic Haddam Jail cellblock and visit with prisoners on Saturday, September 26, and Sunday, September 27, 2026, from 12 pm to 4 pm.  Visitors will be introduced to some of the famous men and women who were incarcerated in the Haddam Jail in the 19^th and 20^th centuries.

Local actors and volunteers will portray real prisoners who were jailed for various crimes including arson, bigamy, and murder.

Come and hear their stories, learn their fates and see the inside of this fascinating historic landmark known locally as the “country club”.
